This Privacy Policy describes how the Gmail AI Voice Assistant Chrome extension ("the Extension") handles your information. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.

🔍 What Data We Access

The Extension requests the following permissions to function:

• Gmail (Read-only): The Extension reads your Gmail inbox to detect new unread emails and generate AI summaries. It uses the gmail.readonly scope — it can never send, delete, or modify your emails.
• Google Identity: Used solely to authenticate you via Google OAuth 2.0 so the Extension can access your Gmail on your behalf.
• Local Storage: Your settings (ringtone preferences, VIP contacts, notification options) are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API.
• Notifications: Used to display voice alerts and inbox notifications on your screen.
• Alarms: Used to schedule periodic inbox checks and morning briefings.

🤖 AI Processing

When a new email is detected, a brief summary of the email content is sent to a secure cloud proxy server to generate an AI voice summary.

The AI proxy uses the email subject and sender name to generate short, spoken summaries. Full email body content is never transmitted unless required for summarization.

📤 Data Sharing

We do not:

• Sell your personal data to any third party
• Share your Gmail data with advertisers
• Store your emails or email content on any server
• Track your browsing activity outside of Gmail

The only external service used is the AI cloud proxy for generating email summaries, and no persistent storage of your data occurs there.

🔐 Security

Your Gmail access is protected by Google's OAuth 2.0 authentication. We never see or store your Google account password. All communication between the Extension and external services uses HTTPS encryption.

👤 Your Rights & Controls

• Revoke access: You can revoke the Extension's Gmail access at any time from your Google Account permissions page.
• Uninstall: Removing the Extension from Chrome immediately stops all data access and clears local storage.
• Sign out: Use the Sign Out button in the Extension popup to disconnect your Gmail account.

👶 Children's Privacy

This Extension is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

✏️ Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
